Non-potable water system is off

WATER UPDATE 7/14/2026

Dear Gateway Park Master Association Owners and Residents,

The Town of Berthoud advised they will continue their investigations through the end of this week. While they conduct their investigations water will remain off. Ramey has installed the VFD and it is working. The PLC is still reporting a fault code. Ramey is calling a PLC specialist to diagnose the error. They hope to have the system up and running by the time the Town of Berthoud allows us to water again. Thank you!

Have a great day,

Gateway Park Master Association

WATER UPDATE 7/10/2026

Dear Gateway Park Master Association Owners and Residents,

As you are aware the Town of Berthoud requested we shut off the non-potable system due to potential cross-contamination on July 7, 2026. We are still waiting for the inspections to be completed. They located three instances of cross connection near Gateway Park West with several more across Highway 287 that will not impact us. He stated that residual chlorine in the Town water system should handle any downside. The cross connections have not been verified to have been done without proper back flow prevention, and if they were installed improperly, the Town of Berthoud will follow up with the individuals to ensure correction or removal and issue citations as appropriate. Please see the email from the Town of Berthoud, “We understand this has been a touchy subject, especially in the Gateway neighborhood, that is why we are taking this very seriously. There is no known backflow event, but we have again found several cross-connections in the neighboring subdivisions and in Gateway, so the shutdown is a precautionary measure.”

We are waiting for the Town of Berthoud to complete its investigations and advise when the non-potable system may resume. The Town of Berthoud advised that the investigations will take several days to complete. We will share more information once it is available. Thank you!

Please contact the Town of Berthoud with any questions. Thank you!

Why we... LOVE Berthoud!

Known as the, “Garden Spot of Colorado”, the town of Berthoud has grown tremendously over the last 10 years. Berthoud has a unique history, in the 1880s, the Colorado Central Railroad recognized Berthoud’s location caused the steam-powered locomotives to struggle to ascend from this valley location. When this stop was put in place farmers and ranchers moved to the area and began to flourish.  Check out the local museum for more extensive history. It’s easy to see why even today people are choosing small towns over large cities for the small town community feel.  It’s the people that make this little town great.
